Sources point to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) as the institution where he studied.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before his political life, Shah was active in Nepal\u2019s underground hip\u2010hop scene\u2014using his music to criticize corruption and inequality.<\/p>\n<p>From Independent Mayor to National Aspirations<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Shah was elected Mayor of Kathmandu in 2022, running as an independent and defeating mainstream party candidates by a sizable margin\u2014over 61,000 votes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He has built a reputation for hands-on civic action: tackling illegal construction, engaging directly with citizens, and introducing transparency in city governance.<\/p>\n<p>The Gen Z Movement and \u201cBalen for PM\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In September 2025, widespread youth-led protests (\u201cGen Z protests\u201d) in Nepal turned violent after the government banned dozens of social media platforms.
