Minister ,Agnimitra Paul has announced plans to develop 50 alternative water bodies for devotees across the city, clarifying that the government will not violate the tribunal\u2019s directions.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement came after environmentalists, including Subhash Dutta, Mohit Roy &amp; Mr Somendra Mohan Ghosh, objected to allowing celebrations at the lakes. KMDA engineers also reportedly advised against constructing temporary ghats there in view of the Supreme Court\u2019s order.
