The internal turmoil within RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family has intensified. Following explosive allegations from his daughter Rohini Acharya, three more of his daughters — Rajn Lakshmi, Ragini, and Chanda — have reportedly walked out of the family’s Patna residence.
The departures come just after Rohini publicly accused her brother Tejashwi Yadav’s close aides of humiliating her and forcing her out of the family home. She alleged verbal abuse, and claimed someone even raised a slipper to hit her — in a post that has shocked political and media circles.
According to sources, the three sisters left the house early on Monday, taking their children with them and travelling to Delhi. Their exit is being seen as a show of solidarity with Rohini and a sign that the family rift is widening.
Rohini, a doctor residing in Singapore, had previously donated a kidney to her father, Lalu Prasad Yadav. But she now says she was insulted for it — calling it “dirty” — and accused family members of demanding money and a Lok Sabha ticket in return.
Her brother Tej Pratap Yadav, who was earlier expelled from both the family and the RJD, also weighed in. He posted a strong message, calling Rohini’s alleged humiliation “unbearable,” appealing to Lalu to intervene, and warning that the consequences of this “injustice” would be serious.
With the three sisters gone, only Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, and daughter Misa Bharti remain at their 10, Circular Road Patna residence.
The timing of this rupture is sensitive: the RJD is reeling after a poor performance in the recent Bihar Assembly elections, and the family’s internal divisions are being closely watched by political observers, given the implications for the party’s unity and future..
