WEVOW ,A New Boutique in Southern Avenue, A Must Come to Witness,Handcrafted Elegance.

WEVOW, A Kolkata Based Ethnic Wear boutique, recently launched its newest store at No. 116 Southern Avenue, Kolkata – 700029 (Near: Vivekananda Park & close to Kamala Girls School. Founded in 2017 by Arpita Bhattacharjee and Chiranjit Podder, WEVOW was born from a shared passion for Indian heritage and textile craftsmanship. The name itself reflects the brand’s founding promise  “we vow” to deliver beauty, comfort, and authenticity in every piece. Miss Sushmita Roy, Miss Universe India 2024 Runner-up, actor and model, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. With an existing outlet at Bangur Avenue, the new boutique extended the label’s vision to a wider clientele, offering handcrafted, luxurious ethnic wear with a distinct design voice. The store is said to be  open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The Southern Avenue store blended old-world charm with thoughtful contemporary elegance. The space is divided across two levels: the ground floor, The total space is about 500 sqft and is dedicated to daily wear, office-friendly pieces, and relaxed casuals, while the mezzanine floor offers a more indulgent selection of festive and bridal wear — from embroidered zardozi blouses to richly woven sarees. The boutique interiors feature a striking black-and-white chequered floor, soft ivory-toned walls, and antique brass chandeliers that cast a warm, timeless glow. Elegant wall sconces and carved mirrors enhanced the space’s boutique character, creating a serene yet sophisticated atmosphere that mirrors the brand’s design philosophy.

The  collections are a tribute to artisanal excellence, featuring fabrics like raw silk, organza, Chikankari, Kalamkari cotton, Jamdani, velvet, and more. Their signature zardozi blouses with backless or front-open silhouettes remain showstoppers, while their saree range — from featherlight organza drapes to intricate French knot Tussar and heritage Jamdani — continues to evoke elegance and individuality.

The brand caters to women aged 20 to 50 who value cultural connection and craftsmanship. From brides-to-be and bridesmaids to global Indian women seeking expressive statement pieces, The price range from ₹1,299 to ₹8,999 for blouses, ₹1,999 to ₹14,999 for sarees, and ₹499 to ₹2,499 for curated ethnic jewellery, making the experience of heritage fashion both aspirational and accessible.

With this launch, WEVOW reaffirmed its commitment to making Indian fashion a living, breathing celebration — one where every thread carries legacy, every fit tells a story, and every woman feels both regal and rooted.
