A soulful evening of devotion and music unfolded at Unwind, Delta Tower, Sector V, Salt Lake, on 17th January 2026,
as Kirtan Kolkata hosted a vibrant congregational kirtan program, drawing participants from across the city.
The event was organized by Doyal Gauranga Das and Mitra Krishna Devi Dasi, a devotee couple from Mayapur with over 25 years of experience in bhakti-yoga and kirtan. Doyal Gauranga Das has been actively engaged in kirtan education for more than 15 years through his Kirtan Academy, sharing the art and culture of kirtan with hundreds of people worldwide. The organizers also emphasized their mission to share the authentic mood and culture of traditional kirtan with a wider audience in Kolkata.
The response from the Kolkata audience has been overwhelmingly positive. Many attendees now participate regularly, while new faces continue to join each event. Several participants expressed enthusiasm and anticipation for future programs, highlighting the growing popularity of the initiative.
