Legendary, Singer & Dadasaheb Phalke Awardee Asha Bhosle was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after her health took a sudden turn on Saturday, April 11, 2026. According to the health update shared by singer’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle, the singer experienced “extreme exhaustion” “chest infection” 
got hospitalised. However, in earlier report by Dr Pratit Samdhani, a physician at the hospital, she suffered a cardiac arrest in the morning & was rushed in immediately.
As per news agency PTI, the singer remains in critical condition & is in the ICU; however, an official statement from the Bhosle family has not yet been issued. PM Modi and celebrities including Anupam Kher, Sanjay Kapoor & Neil Nitin Mukesh have expressed concern over the singer’s health – wished her a speedy recovery.
Earlier on Saturday, Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle shared her health update and mentioned that her treatment is currently underway. She also appealed to the public to respect the family’s privacy. Veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai on Sunday, April 12, following a cardiac arrest and pulmonary complications.
