A CISF personnel, Ramakant Vishwakarma, has been arrested by Kulti Police in connection with the alleged molestation of a minor girl aged about 10 years.The case has been registered on April 26th 2027, under Sections 137(2) & 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 8 & 10 of the POCSO Act, 2012.
Police sources said the accused was apprehended from ECL’s Sheetalpur headquarters shortly after the complaint was lodged. He is currently in custody, further legal proceedings are underway.
In a swift parallel action, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) dismissed Vishwakarma from service during the intervening night, a signalling zero tolerance towards misconduct.
In an official statement, the CISF reiterated its commitment to discipline & integrity, stating that offences involving women & children are treated with utmost seriousness & strict action is ensured.The investigation is on-going.
